 The Generation Next Ministry is designed to minister to children, youth and young adults through worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, and ministry programs that demonstrate the overwhelming love of God while providing a place to develop and understand who they are in Christ. Generation Next strives to be: Christ-Centered, Student-led, Intimately-Relational, and Culturally-Relevant. To learn more about our programs.
Nursery
- Open for Infants and Toddlers during Sunday Worship at the10:45am service.
- Registration and Check-In begins at 10:30 for the 10:45am Worship.
Worship
- Sunday Services- Led by the Youth and Elder Ross, this occurs each Sunday with topics, skits, worship on a youth level.
- Children's Ministry is available for students in grades Pre-K to 5th Grade at both our 8:00am and 10:45am services.
- Youth Church for students in grades 6-12 worship's during the 10:45am service only.
- Wednesday Night Life Group- Every Wednesday night the Generation Next Minsitry gathers for games, teaching, and fun.
- Voices of Generation Next Choir- Meets on Wednesday nights during Life Group. Open to all students 5-18. VGN ministers on the 2nd Sunday. Bro. Kevin Smith, Director.
- Devotional Team- Young people learn how to flow a worship service and actually flow the Encounter worship.
- Dancers of David- Ministry through liturgical, inspirational, and spiritual dance. Meets on Saturday mornings at 9am.
Discipleship
- Youth Advisory Council- Chosen group of youth and adults to assist Min. Ross in planning and implementation of GN Programs.
- Jr. Trustees- Teaches young people the role and importance of the trustee in the church through hands on learning.
- Church School-meets every Sunday morning to give teaching into the Christian faith and what we believe. Sis. Donna Washington, Superintendent.
Evangelism
- Club After Shock- Music, dancing, games, food. Every 2nd and 4th Friday 10pm-1am.
- Prayer Walks- Prayer as we walk in authority through the neighborhood. Held throughout the summer.
- Greeters/Hospitality- This ministry greets visitors during Sunday services and special programs.
- Ushers- Serve as "door keepers" in the house of God. Sis. Shelia Byers, Director.
- Mission/outreach- various programs held throughout the year focused on helping others.
Fellowship
- Conferences- Throughout the year the youth can attend conferences with Elder Ross on various topics.
- Trips- Each summer we go on at least two (2) trips out of town for relaxation and enlightenment.
- Teen Night- Once a month teens gather for food fun, and fellowship to foster close relationships.
- Children’s Night- Once a month children gather for food, movies, and games.
- Skate Night- Held quarterly as a fun night at a local skating rink.
- Retreat- During the spring and fall, youth get away from the hassle of life and enjoy a weekend at a remote facility.
- Pastor’s Honor Roll- Awarded to students quarterly with excellent grades.
Ministry
- Counseling- Available by appointment only.
- Advisement- Whatever the question or concern, we can steer you in the right direction.
- Student Leadership Training- Quarterly class taught by Elder Ross to prepare interested students for Ministry leadership.
- Young Adult- Programs, trips, sessions, and worship targeting Young Adults 19-35.
